77 Thunderbird filmed crusing the Vegas stripAnother success story revolves around a simple prop for general use all throughout the film 'Rough Hustle' which is one of the most highly anticipated independent films of 2009, coming to theatres in 2009. It was filmed on site in Nevada by the newly emerging director/producer Delaney Dragon of DFILM who teamed up with Brendan Davis of Tangible Entertainment . The movie runs a true grit and nostalgic feel about the day-to-day life of card-counters in Las Vegas. One simple prop that was needed was a mid-70s Ford Thunderbird. This car was to be used thoughout the movie- an unaltered, period correct, and typical car. The car needed to be functional. The production crew found it- a blue Thunderbird with hubcaps... this car was in Las Vegas NV which was also the setting for the movie. It was used for 4 weeks of filming and ended up cleaner than when obtained. Some of the pictures below show this vehicle prop in use with cameras mounted, trailered, positioned, etc.

This is a perfect example of the continual need for simple period correct props (especially automobiles) for daily life use in the film industry-- needed on location. Film at Eleven has a nice review of this upcoming movie. This was an owner contributed story. Thru MPC your car could be an MPC sucess story.
